Veneers and crowns care
- Brush your teeth as usual, in the mornings and evenings. Floss after having meal out if necessary — the floss perfectly passes between veneers and crowns and will not damage them.
- Replace a hard toothbrush with a soft one and toothpaste with a gentle gel without abrasive particles, i.e. without «polishing» grit, because your veneers are already polished by us.
- We highly recommend you to use a water irrigator. It is a compact and handy device to rinse the space between your teeth, which is very important . Use it twice a day, after brushing your teeth, for 30 seconds at a time.
- Make sure you visit the clinic 2 times a year — the doctor will give your teeth a professional cleaning, after which he will examine everything thoroughly, «under a microscope» .
- For some time after veneers and crowns installation, the sensitivity of teeth to hot or cold may be increased — don’t worry, it will normalize quite soon on its own.
- If you clench your teeth a lot when you sleep (this is called «bruxism») or play sports where something can «hit you in the jaw» — tell the doctor, he will give you protective mouthguards that will prevent damage to your veneers or crowns.
P. S. If you suddenly «felt something strange with your tongue» with a veneer or crown, which was not there before — please, don’t worry , don’t «self-medicate» and don’t read advice on the Internet. Just make an appointment at the clinic, we will prevent and solve any problems.
